Well, it's been over a month and I have yet to receive a post from anyone. I'm thinking this was a waste of time.
OK, I've changed my mind.
Here are a few facts about the current real estate market in Chatham, Ma. and Cape Cod in general. Through the first four months of the year 46 homes were sold in Chatham(mls listed). The number sold in the same time period last year was 44. Doesn't seem like a big difference but if you listened to the news and print media you would think the market had tanked. Not so. The high end homes sales have remained strong but now we are starting to see movement in the lower end homes. I tried to set up a tour for a client last weekend. She wanted to see 4 homes. When I tried to set up a tour I found that three of the 4 were under contract. I could only show her one house and guess what. It was the perfect house for her and that one is now under contract as well. With interest rates still historically low and a price drop of about 3%. Now is the time to find some good values.
